Taking a Proactive Approach to Acne and the Cayenne
Pepper Diet
Although it's true that most people who suffer from acne
are teens, this condition can persist into adulthood. While everybody
will experience the occasional zit, for the most part, acne is
preventable. Ah, you don't believe me! Well, listen up, follow this
advice and see if you don't get the results you want.
Wouldn't it be great if you didn't have a raft of blemishes show up
just about the time you're going to a party? Nutrition is all important
in the fight against acne. The best vitamins for acne conditions are
found in fruits and veggies.
Excess oil in the skin is a major culprit. This doesn't mean that
avoiding fat altogether is the answer. There are good and bad fats.
Fats should comprise about 20% of your total intake of calories each
day. Generally, animal fats and trans fats are the ones you want to
avoid. Olive oil is the best and is also healthy for your
cardiovascular system.

Five
Secrets To Clearing Your Skin
Now, to keep outbreaks to a minimum, lets take a look at
those proactive vitamins for acne. Vitamins A, C, E and zinc should be
in good supply in your daily diet. This means lots of fruits and
veggies. Include lots of salads. A variety of greens, fresh parsley,
all of the citrus fruits and red, orange or yellow vegetables are all
high in vitamins A and C. Avocados are loaded with vitamin E. The ready
to drink vegetable juices supply many of these vitamins. If you don't
care for the taste, try a squirt of lemon juice or one of the spicy
versions, ice cold, as this beverage is so beneficial to the health of
your skin.
When you make a salad, which makes an excellent lunch or dinner, make
it a chef's style with healthy additions like sliced chicken breast or
salad shrimp. Vary your selection of dark green, leafy vegetables in
your salads so you don't get bored with this meal. Spinach, mesclun or
spring mixes are good choices. Dice in a sweet red or orange bell
pepper for a good dose of beta-carotene, the most beneficial form of
vitamin A. Organic, locally grown fruits and vegetables also contain
more of these nutrients than veggies that have been picked in an under
ripe state and shipped hundreds of miles. Look for salad dressings made
with olive or soy oil.
With summer here, a fruit smoothie makes a great, quick breakfast
that's filling and good for your skin.
Teens need these proactive vitamins for acne treatments in greater
abundance than adults. Talk to your doctor to see if vitamin
supplements are a good addition to your healthy eating program.
Remember too, that caffeine washes all these proactive vitamins,
particularly vitamin C, out of your system before you can absorb them.

How Good is the Cayenne Pepper Diet?
When I first heard of the cayenne pepper diet, I thought
that it was
part of a weight loss program. After doing a little research into the
subject I found that this is actually a great detoxifying treatment
that just about anyone can use. If you want to try a good body cleanse,
then you might want to consider this approach. The cayenne pepper diet
is full of surprises, though.
First of all, it really isn’t about the pepper. The cayenne
pepper diet is mostly about the citrus and water that you ingest over
the course of the program. The recipe that is used in this body cleanse
is pretty simple. You need fresh, and I mean fresh, squeezed lemon or
lime juice, dark maple syrup, cayenne pepper (of course) and water.
That was the first surprise that I found. The maple syrup was a real
shocker because I figured that you would want to avoid sugars when
doing a cleansing program like the cayenne pepper diet. However, the
dark maple syrup is helpful in giving you energy while completing the
detoxifying process.
The lemon was of no real surprise on the cayenne pepper diet because it
is such a useful tool in cleaning out your body. However, the lime was
a pleasant surprise that I embraced. When you are on a really
restrictive program like the cayenne pepper diet you welcome as much
change as possible. I liked that I could switch between lemon and lime
for a different taste every so often.
I was also surprised by how little pepper was used in the recipe. Since
the program is called the cayenne pepper diet I figured that this would
be the main ingredient. However, you just use a small pinch of the
supplement in the concoction, especially at first. The amount of pepper
increases as you follow the program.
The results were pretty surprising as well. The cayenne pepper diet is
not a weight loss program but I did lose weight. How couldn’t
I on such a restrictive plan? I was pretty surprised that I
wasn’t exhausted during the cleansing plan. I had plenty of
energy to spare.
The unpleasant surprise was that I had a terrible headache all through
my experience with the cayenne pepper diet. I also found that I gained
the weight I lost but that wasn’t really a concern. One must
before trying the cayenne pepper diet: consult your physician. This is
the most important step in the process.
